Water Quality in Wisconsin
PFAS – What are they? What are the implications?
0.5 CEUs
October 22, 2019
Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St., Madison WI

Water quality standards in Wisconsin are ambiguous. However, water utilities are required to ensure drinking water quality complies with state and federal requirements. This program will focus on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS), including research, health impacts, treatment options, as well as potential impacts on ground water quality and land usage. This program will conclude with sessions on crisis communication; i.e., how do you communicate this difficult and somewhat unknown topic to the public and to government leaders?
