Are you concerned that you won’t have what you really need to respond to a drinking water or wastewater emergency? Maybe you’ll need trained operators, engineers, water quality specialists, or supplies such as specific valves, chemicals, testing devices and equipment. The Wisconsin Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network (WIWARN) is a network of “utilities helping utilities.” This network helps utilities locate emergency assistance in the form of personnel, equipment, materials and other services. WIWARN is proudly hosting a free event that includes an emergency response seminar and a tabletop exercise (TTX). The event will be an opportunity to share and discuss resources related to water and wastewater incident preparedness and response.

Event Description: The event will consist of presentations in the morning followed by an afternoon TTX. The TTX is based on a hypothetical scenario designed to bring together drinking water utilities, public safety, local and state agencies to discuss roles and responsibilities during an incident. This seminar and TTX is open to member utilities and non-member utilities, as well as local, state and federal response partners that are interested in learning more about WIWARN.

See FLYER for more details and how to register for the seminar.
