Young Professionals
Mission Statement
To help access the energy, innovation, talent, and new ideas of young individuals in the Wisconsin water industry, for advancement of industry and WWA goals.
2012 Goals
1. Retain committee members, and increase "active" committee membership.
2. Expand the student chapters and assist with one event each year.
3. Increase YP presence with a minimum of 50% of YPs on other WWA committees.
4. Expand committee diversification (cultural, business background, etc.).
5. Fund the annual student scholarship program.
6. Award all annual scholarships.
7. Moderate technical sessions at WWA Annual Conference and Midwest Expo.
8. Help with MAC Night and Poster Session at WWA Annual Conference.
9. Offer YP Session at WWA Annual Conference.
10. Organize a minimum of one social/networking event.
Activities Plan
Hold minimum of 10 committee meetings, including two in‑person meetings.

We hold monthly conference calls for our members to update the status of the committee. We have five focus areas, which each have a “Champion” that is responsible for the planning and execution. Calls usually last 1-hour. |
