Young Professionals
Mission Statement
To help access the energy, innovation, talent, and new ideas of young individuals in the Wisconsin water industry, for advancement of industry and WWA goals.
2010 Goals
- Retain committee members, and increase “active” committee membership.
- Expand committee diversification (cultural, business background, etc.)
- Increase YP presence within WWA with a minimum of 50% of YPs on another committee.
- Expand the student chapters and join with Central States.
- Implement at least one additional means to develop base for funding the scholarship program.
- Award all available scholarships.
- Moderate technical sessions at the WWA Annual Conference.
- Help at Annual Conference with MAC Night and Poster Session.
- Continue to offer a Young Professional Session at the WWA Annual Conference.
- Organize a minimum of one social/networking event for YPs.
- Host a student chapter and organize one event with them.
Activities Plan
Hold minimum of 10 committee meetings, including two in‑person meetings.

We hold monthly conference calls for our members. The conference calls update the status of the committee. We have five focus areas, which each have a “Champion” that is responsible for the planning and execution. Focus Area Champions are required to be on each conference call. |
