         Panel Discussion

           Friday, September 19, 2008

           Time:          8:30 am - 10:30 am

Location:    WWA Annual Conference, Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Plastic pipe is a crucial component in our modern water industry.  C-900 PVC pipe and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) are just two of most common plastic products in use in Wisconsin and throughout the nation.

Recent studies have raised concerns about leaching of various chemicals from plastic baby bottles, plastic drinking water bottles, and other pliable plastic products.  What are the implications for plastic water pipes?  Come listen to our distinguished panel as they discuss this timely issue.

Panelists:

Steve Cooper, Regional Engineer, Uni-Bell PVC Pipe Association
Clif McClellan, Director of Toxicology, NSF International
Dr. Federick vom Saal, Professor, University of Missouri
