There are 3 general categories of membership AWWA is offering. This section will provide you with some very general information on the three broad categories of membership.

Individual Membership

Types of Individual Membership
Individual membership provides numerous opportunities to advance your career.
Active Member ($130)

  • Membership in your local AWWA section
  • Operations/Administrative Member ($62)
      Benefits include:
     
  • Member pricing on local and national training
  • CEU credit for training, including online courses
  • Practical operations newsletter, Opflow
  • Member pricing on all products, including AWWA Manuals
  • Membership in your local AWWA section
  • Student Membership ($25)
      Benefits include:

  • Information on industry developments
  • Membership in your local AWWA section
  • International Membership ($150)
      Benefits include:
     
  • Web-based training opportunities
  • Access to online discussion forums
  • Information on industry developments

  • In addition to your own section membership, you may also join other AWWA sections.

    Utility Memberships

    Types of Utility Membership
    Utility membership provides your utility and all of its employees the tools needed to improve your overall effectiveness.
    U.S. Utilities - 5,000+ customer service connections (dues based on number of service connections)
      Benefits include:
     
  • Access to Water Utility Security Resources
  • Free set of AWWA Standards and Manuals
  • Regulatory Alerts e-mailed as news breaks
  • Government Affairs assistance
  • Member pricing for all utility employees
  • U.S. Small Systems - less than 5,000 customer service connections (dues based on number of service connections)
      Benefits include:
     
  • Access to Water Utility Security Resources
  • Free set of 13 pre-selected AWWA Standards
  • Access to the Small systems Helpline
  • Regulatory Alerts e-mailed as news breaks
  • Government Affairs assistance
  • Member pricing for all utility employees
  • International Utilities (dues based on number of service connections)
      Benefits include:
     
  • Access to Water Utility Security Resources
  • Free set of AWWA Standards and Manuals (depending on size)
  • International information exchange through online discussion forums
  • Member pricing on all AWWA products
  • In addition to your own section membership, you may also join other AWWA sections.

    Service Provider Organization Memberships

    Types of Service Provider (Organization) Membership
    Service provider membership gives you many opportunities to connect with current and potential customers.
    Manufacturer/Associate Membership (Dues based on gross annual sales to water supply industry)
      Benefits include:
     
  • Free advertising in the Sourcebook
  • Member pricing on exhibits at all AWWA events
  • Member pricing for all employees attending events
  • Free set of AWWA Standards
  • Information on new products and industry developments
  • Member pricing on mail list rentals
  • Consulting Firm Membership (Dues based on staff size)

    Technical Service Membership
    Technical Service membership is designed to meet the needs of libraries, government departments, universities, or other organizations that do not fit into any of the above categories.
    Technical Service Member ($1050)

  • Drinking Water Week Assistance
  • Member pricing on exhibits at all AWWA events
