MISSION STATEMENT

Membership Mission Statement To promote new memberships and retention of current members in WWA and AWWA in the State of Wisconsin. Improve membership retention through increased member participation and involvement and promotion of the benefits of membership in the association.

 

GOALS

Member Retention

  • Update the orientation brochure we use for new members.
  • Continued emails to members who are late renewing encouraging them to review.
  • More engaged recruitment of members not renewing with individual phone calls.
  • Build stronger links with the Young Professional Committee to help transition student members to full time members.
  • Continued annual Member Appreciation Letters o Continued staffing booths at the Annual conference and other conferences as needed.

Membership Growth

  • Assist Young Professional Committee in liaison in supporting student chapters.
  • Use activity database to identify people attending WWA events that are not members and start to recruit them as members.

 

ACTIVITIES PLAN

  • Had booth at annual WWA conference with water bottle give away. 
  • Mailed member appreciate gift to all members mid-year.
  • Mailed new member welcome letter to new members each quarter. 
  • Email to members who are late in renewing.
  • Article in two newsletters.
  • Two members attended national Membership Matters Summit.
  • Continued developed draft database of member activities and used database to look at depth of membership involvement.
  • Cost of activities – approximately $2,000.

Composition

Committee consists of the Chair, Vice-Chair, Retention Coordinator, New Member Coordinator, and Prospectives Coordinator. Members are recruited from the Section at‑large, and should provide for reasonable geographic coverage of the State.
