Board of Trustee Nomination Form

The Wisconsin Water Association is seeking nominations for the offices of Senior Trustee and Trustee-at-Large.  Nomination period closes August 1, 2010.  Elections for these positions will be held at the WWA Annual Meeting in September.  Please use the attached nomination form.  The following is a description of the offices.

Wisconsin Water Association Senior Trustee

The Senior Trustee requires a four-year commitment and will progress through the following positions: Senior Trustee in 2011, Vice-Chair in 2012, Chair in 2013, and Past Chair in 2014.  The Senior Trustee is expected to attend all Board Meetings, assigned committee meetings, and other meetings, such as the AWWA Regional Officers Meetings.  It is recommended that the Senior Trustee have served as Trustee-at-Large for the WWA.  It is preferable that the candidate has been active in both the professional activities of the water industry in Wisconsin as well as WWA committees.

Wisconsin Water Association Trustee-at-Large

Two positions are open.  These are two-year terms, which will begin on January 1, 2011 and end on December 31, 2012.  Trustee-at-Large can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.  The Trustee-at-Large is expected to attend all Board meetings and assigned committee meetings for which he or she serves as Board Liaison.  Trustees will represent these committees at Board Meetings.  They are full voting members of the WWA Board of Trustees.  Any member in good standing is eligible to run for office of Senior Trustee.

Currently, Board of Trustee meetings are scheduled 12 times per year with 6 meetings being conference calls.

The Nominating Committee has as one of its goals to strive for diversity in the Section with regard to professional discipline, geographical area, gender, etc.  The Board has also  attempted to avoid having more than one person from any organization on the Board.  A member may not run for or hold two or more offices at the same time.
