Madison has the Best-Tasting
Water in Wisconsin!
The Madison Water Utility won a Blue Ribbon for Best-Tasting Water at the Wisconsin State Fair yesterday - the first time WWA held its Taste Test Competition at the fair. The 27th annual non-scientific contest showcased the dedicated work of drinking water professionals. Madison can enter the North American competition at the AWWA Annual Conference and Expo (ACE) 2014 next spring in Boston.
Thanks to the 17 utilities who participated and to the many volunteers who organized and ran the competition.
Final Round Winners: 2nd place, Two Rivers (Northeast DNR District-NE); 3rd place, Oak Creek (Southeast-SE); 4th place, Arcadia (West Central-WC); and 5th place, Kenosha (Southeast-SE). Madison is in the South Central District. Competitors also included (NE) Appleton, Green Bay; (SE) Milwaukee, Cudahy; (SC) Waunakee, Fort Atkinson, Janesville; (WC) Arcadia, Weston, LaCrosse, Wausau, and Rib Mountain.
